I’ve got the easiest hair tutorial for you today! This is the easy 2 minute top knot that you see me rocking on occasion! I love doing this hairstyle when my hair is on day 3 or 4, getting my hair off my face and out of my eyes!
You can easily do this hairstyle in 8 simple steps and I’ve provided them all for you here! Here are the direct steps with the photos as well as how I do this in under 2 minutes! I’m using my T3 tools which are my absolute favorites! My hair was curled from the day before, but I used the flat iron to give some volume at the roots!
Tresemme Hair Spray // Rusk Comb (similar) // Triple Sec Texture Spray // T3 Curling Iron
T3 Straightener c/o // T3 Blowdryer c/o
You will also need bobby pins and one small elastic.

Start out using the comb to separate the hair you will put up in the pony tail.
I pull back just the crown, but you could do more or less depending on how much hair you want in the top knot.
Then take the hair you separated and gather it to be fastened in the elastic.
Secure the hair into a pony tail and wrap the elastic around a few times.
Make sure it’s nice and tight, and then take the “tail” or end of your pony tail and create a knot.
Wrap the end of your pony tail through the open part to make a knot.
Push it through and complete the knot.
Pull the end of the tail through and finish the knot, then secure the end of the tail with a bobby pin.
Tuck the end of the tail under and secure with another bobby pin.
One more time….bobby pin that bun!
Then just pull gently on the ends to make the top knot flatter and also pull the pony tail at your scalp to make it loose/undone.
Take the straightener and make start at your roots and lift to give volume.
Voila! You’re done! You can go back and curl with your wand or curling iron or straighten depending on how you want the ends to look! I didn’t do much except for give my roots some volume! Then just spray with your choice of hairspray!
