I Like to Move It | Huggies Little Movers

Lennyn is 5 months now and officially ready to move…cue all the mama tears! WHYYY can’t babies stay babies forever? I suppose we’d never be ready for another baby if that happened. Each stage is so fun; I know I will miss the baby stage, but this next stage of mobile baby is going to be so fun with two girls. So much fun that I’m going to need extra caffeine with a shot of giddy-up to get me through each day with my little movers. 

Now we’re rolling and scooting all over the place; it’s making this mama nervous for what is to come with two babies on the move! I can see tea parties with a tea cup thief crawling away and an unhappy toddler playing on repeat in my head. From early on, I have been taking advantage of laying her down in a safe place (sometimes strapped in the bouncer inside the empty bathtub to hide her from big sister) and coming back after a split second (or an 8 second shower) to know she’d be fine.  Those days are over and now I’m in multitasking-where-is-my-baby-where-is-the-other-baby mode.  Ya feel me?  Tummy time with some toys a little bit out of reach has become rolling time which in turn becomes back time…across the room from where I laid her to begin, with said toy in hand mouth. Oh, what fun!

Diaper changes have indefinitely become more of a wrestle mania challenge with her rolling all over the place.  Lennyn looks at me, realizes I’m changing her diaper, and rolls over like it’s a game.  Another fun one is when she is sucking on her foot and gets mad at me when I pull it out to finish the diaper change. Oi!
