Okay peeps! I did not forget about the winner winner chicken dinner from last week’s Glamour Me Jewels giveaway! I had a busy weekend which results in me being one day behind in the blog world. OOpsies!
Today – you get a short version of my weekend and the WINNER!! Tomorrow – I will announce the new giveaway for this week. Next week – I hope to be more on track. No pinky promises….it is the beginning of school! EEKK!!
Onto the weekend….Hubbs flew me to Canyon Thursday night so I could pay respects to a dear friend from high school. Jesus took her home to live with Him early Monday morning. My heart breaks for her sweet, beautiful daughter, family and friends. Send up a prayer for this dear family to have peace throughout their loss…
It was great to see friends from high school, even though the circumstances could have been better. Friday I spent the afternoon with my momma…lunch at Sharky’s Burrito Company…running errands…two Starbuck’s drinks a day….dinner at Blue Sky…it was perfect!
And, I have a new addiction. Macadamia Nut Hershey Kisses….if you find these at your local store, jackpot! I’ve been looking for them everywhere and apparently they are only sold in Hawaii! My mom brought them back from her trip to Hawaii, and I’m SO sad I can’t find them anywhere! All of you Hawaii people or people traveling to Hawaii……hook a sista up! 🙂
Friday night, Brynlee and I painted our nails in our jammies! Fun times with this niecey girl!
Saturday morning, we went for a walk and took sweet Hydie Mae the weenie dog! Love this little girl…she’s getting so old and it makes me so sad!!
Saturday night, we celebrated my brother’s birthday and the opening of his welding business! We had a great time with family and friends, eating steaks and visiting!
Sunday, we had a lazy day with my parents! Tuck got to come visit and we had a great time!
Back to work today….goodbye summer and goodbye to being a housewife! I know those of you who work year round have no sympathy for me! 🙂
We started inservice for teachers today and will continue all week, and next week the kiddos come! I am anxiously awaiting my class list. This is by far my favorite part of inservice! And, of course, I can’t wait to meet my new kiddos!
