But if I had my way, I’d take the rain.
Here in the Panhandle (I’m home visiting my parents) of Texas, rain is a hot commodity. Seriously, we’ve been in the biggest drought in history for the past year or more. Lately, God has blessed us with some substantial rainfall, and we are feeling super blessed. My dad is a dry land farmer, which means he doesn’t use any irrigation to water the crops. We basically make a crop from the rainfall that God blesses us with. So, we are feeling very thankful as of late. I still say we not because I’m a super awesome farm-girl and work so hard on the farm, but because I am a proud farmer/rancher’s daughter. ๐
So, I heard the rain this morning and couldn’t wait to get my feet wet. Literally.
I went for a cool, drizzly early morning run on our country roads. My heart is so happy.
I didn’t come prepared for stylin’ myself for a rainy day. I sure would have pulled out these bad boys for coffee with a friend this morning.
Hunter Women’s Original Classic Glossy Rain Boots – Graphite $135
And would totally be rocking this adorable rain jacket. |
Jack by BB Dakota $90
And what rainy day isn’t complete without this little mini leopard umbrella? But, since I came ill prepared….I’ll be wearing my cute summer sun dress and pretending the sun is shining on me. ๐ |
